Our chassis models

All chassis main frame members consist of MIG-welded high grade Swedish steel to ensure maximum strength combined with a low weight. The frames’ I-beams are welded both inside and outside. The cross members are made of rectangular hollow beams, to allow for high torsional flexibility and high vertical rigidity.

The standard King Pin is 2" and is both flanged and bolted into the semi-trailer neck.

Parking legs are of telescopic, 2-speed design, with rubber hinged feet. The crank attachment is outside the vehicle, i.e. it is operated outside a container carried on the HAMMAR.

Turn table height is individual, depending on your requirement and/or road regulations of maximum overall height.

All chassis are available with two or three axle configurations, leaf spring or air suspension and with numerous different wheel sizes. Choose chassis with ABS, EBS or disc brakes.

The S-chassis

"S" for Sliding. The most common of chassis with rugged proven technology. A straight and very light chassis for handling high payloads. Available as fix 20', or with the cranes sliding on the chassis rail between 20'-40' modes, also available as sliding 20'-45'.

Suitable for Crane models: 150, 160 and 190

The C-chassis

"C" for Combined. A combination of telescopic chassis and sliding cranes that will always give exceptional load distribution for all sizes of containers.

The C-chassis gives outstanding utilization of the legally permitted payload from 20' up to 45'.

The F-chassis

"F" for Flexible. It is our shortest chassis version for 20'-40' containers. With telescopic chassis, a sliding front crane and with the extendable rear crane, even 40' containers can be transported with a minimum chassis length.

The A-chassis

”A” for Advanced. A development of the F-chassis. An extremely short, solid and flexible chassis for 20’-40’ containers. A telescopic chassis with “adjustable” King Pin pressure; i.e. chassis and cranes can be adjusted to fit both 2- and 3-axle tractor trucks.

The E-chassis

"E" for Extendible. A specially designed chassis for also carrying 45' containers. The rear crane is mounted on an extended crane base section. It allows the crane to slide past the rear end of the fixed trailer frame, positioning the rear crane in 45' mode.

Suitable for Crane models: 160

The T-chassis

"T" for Trombone. The length of the chassis can be adjusted between 20' and 40'. With the chassis contracted to 20' mode, it is very suitable for transport into confined areas where space is limited.

Suitable for Crane models: 150, 160 and 190

The Gooseneck chassis

The Gooseneck chassis is designed for transporting High Cube (9’6”) containers. With our Gooseneck chassis you will abide to all height rules worldwide. With our patented crane slide system you can utilize the chassis to its full extent.

Can be combined with S, E and C chassis.

Suitable for Crane models: 150, 160 and 190

The B-Double chassis

A feature available in combination with S- and C-chassis, introduced 2004. A fifth wheel is fitted at the rear end of the HAMMAR, allowing you to connect a standard skeletal trailer behind the HAMMAR in a B-train combination. The HAMMAR is used to load/offload the combination. Can carry 3x 20’ or 1x 20’ and 1x 40’ containers.
